Alynne MacLean, Ph.D., Founder and President
With a doctorate in bioanalytical chemistry from the University of Kentucky and more than 26 years of experience in the field of immunoassay development, Alynne directs the research for SMI. She also takes on most of the speaking engagements.
Ruth W. Carrigan, M.Ed., Director and Clerk
The Director of Guidance for the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District since 2004, Ruth earned an M.Ed. from Bridgewater State College. She is a licensed school counselor certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education. In addition to her work in public secondary education, Ruth has fifteen years of experience in higher education. She held the positions of Director of Admissions and Director of Continuing Education for Bay State College in Boston. A member of the Massachusetts School Counselors Association, South Shore Guidance Association, and the New England Association for College Admissions Counseling, Ruth is also an active member of the Community Covenant Church in East Bridgewater, MA.
Janet Linehan, Treasurer
Janet is a retired Town Clerk of Easton, Massachusetts. She is currently working part-time and volunteering for SMI, Norton Public Library and two positions at the North Easton Covenant Congregational Church. She and her husband Neil enjoy their dogs and traveling.
Steve Willette, Director
Steve is a journeyman electrician and a member of IBEW Local 223 Lakeville MA. Whenever possible he volunteers to help people in need, including SMI, Habitat for Humanity, School on Wheels, and two trips to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. Steve enjoys motorcycle and bicycle riding, and is an active member of Covenant Congregational Church in N. Easton MA.
Dave Sproul, Director
Dave graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and is retired after a 30 year career in Quality Control Engineering at the Polaroid Corporation. Dave is a certified trainer in Six Sigma statistical analysis and Lean Manufacturing (Toyota production system) and has been a consultant for several companies in the New England area. Currently Dave owns and operates Catch the Light Photography studio specializing in wedding and portrait photography. He is a near lifetime member of the Covenant Congregational Church in North Easton and a longtime supporter of Science with a Mission.
Wendy Yoo, Director
Wendy is currently working for a renowned publishing company in business management practice as a Technical Support Specialist. In addition to working within the publishing industry, Wendy has also worked in the financial services, market research, and consulting industries. She strongly believes that medical care should be accessible to everyone. She enjoys playing golf, tennis, and basketball.
Beth Abreu, Director
Beth has been in awe of Science with a Mission since it was an unrealized vision. She is a preschool teacher at Tiny Tots in Easton, MA. She received a BA in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from North Park College. Beth and her husband have been blessed with two daughters and are active in their activities. She is a member of the Covenant Congregational Church in N. Easton MA
Frank MacLean, Esq., Corporate Counsel
Frank volunteers his time and knowledge with all legal matters. He was instrumental in the incorporation of SMI. He holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University.
Nick Zelinski, Webmaster
Nick has extensive background in all areas of computer technology, small engine and automotive technology. Graduated from Clark University and is certified in Client/Server and Web Development Technologies. He currently maintains Science with a Mission, Inc. website and various support within Science with a Mission and is an active member of Covenant Congregational Church in N. Easton MA.
